Tragedy in Vaishno Vihar: The Isolated Life of a Retired Officer

A retired village development officer, identified as Shaligram, allegedly committed suicide in Uttar Pradesh's Sambhal district. The 63-year-old shot himself with his licensed rifle at his residence in the Vaishno Vihar locality. Police are investigating the circumstances and have called in a field unit for a detailed inspection.

In a tragic incident in Uttar Pradesh's Sambhal district, a retired village development officer allegedly ended his life on Wednesday. The officer, identified as 63-year-old Shaligram, reportedly shot himself at his residence in Vaishno Vihar.

Authorities, led by Circle Officer Pradeep Kumar, are investigating the circumstances that led to the officer's drastic step. A field unit has been summoned to thoroughly inspect the scene.

Preliminary inquiries suggest that Shaligram, who had taken voluntary retirement, mostly lived in isolation. Police are questioning family members to determine the possible reasons behind his suicide.
