Dog Squad Joins the Fight Against Drug Trafficking in Shopian

Shopian police in Jammu and Kashmir have employed a canine unit as part of the Nasha Mukt Abhiyan to combat drug trafficking. In an intensified crackdown against drug trafficking, the police in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district have incorporated a canine unit into their operations. As part of the Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan, the Shopian Police, in collaboration with the CRPF 14th Battalion, have deployed the Narcotic Dog Squad to enhance their fight against the illegal narcotics trade.

Officials have reported that the specially trained sniffer dogs have been strategically placed at multiple points to assist in the detection of hidden drugs. These efforts are crucial in identifying and recovering concealed contraband, leading to the arrest of those involved in these illegal activities. The initiative is also a preventive measure aimed at disrupting the narcotics supply chain and acts as a deterrent to potential drug traffickers.
