On Sunday, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) intensified its crackdown on alleged land grabbing and financial fraud in Kolkata, with a series of raids targeting the fugitive criminal known as Sona Pappu.
According to a senior official, the central probe agency zeroed in on residences in the Anandapur and Alipore areas, scrutinizing two businessmen potentially linked to the accused criminal. These efforts are part of a broader probe into financial irregularities potentially connected with Sona Pappu, who remains elusive.
Authorities suspect that the two individuals may have acted as intermediaries for fraudulent transactions. Significant leads have emerged, steering investigators to these particular targets. The ED maintains that further inquiries will continue, with additional searches anticipated as the case unfolds.
