Puneet Agarwal, a builder, is under scrutiny for potentially violent actions, including an alleged assault on a Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) scientist. This has led to district officials booking him under the stringent Goonda Act.
An official statement highlighted the builder's history of legal infractions, prompting District Magistrate Savin Bansal to begin expulsion proceedings. This drastic step follows Agarwal's failure to comply with community laws, notably against protesting illegal constructions that impact local residents.
Authorities issued Agarwal a seven-day period to respond; meanwhile, the Raipur police have orders to ensure compliance with the court's mandates. The forthcoming hearing on May 5 will decide his fate if no satisfactory defense is presented.
