In a significant move, the Odisha Police have detained two officers from the education department along with a school teacher in Bargarh on allegations of sexual harassment. The arrests involve the Bargarh District Education Officer, the Block Education Officer, and a physical education teacher.
The apprehension of the accused follows an official complaint lodged by Bargarh Deputy Collector Sumati Panda. Additional SP Siba Prasad Biswal confirmed that the trio is accused of abusing their authority to harass education department staff members.
Bargarh Collector Aditya Goyal assured that both police and administrative measures are underway to address the situation, reinforcing the commitment to uphold justice and workplace safety standards in the education sector.
