Protests Erupt Over RSS Event at Jamia Millia Islamia
The Pakistan Foreign Office criticized protests at Jamia Millia Islamia as an attempt by India to propagate extremist ideology in educational institutions. The event, organized by RSS, sparked student protests and raised concerns about the indoctrination of hate-driven narratives. International community intervention was urged to protect minority rights.
Tensions flared at Jamia Millia Islamia following an RSS-organized event that led to student protests over alleged propaganda activities. Pakistan's Foreign Office has labeled these developments as 'unfortunate', accusing India of using educational spaces to propagate extremist ideologies.
In a statement, Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi emphasized the regrettable shift of educational institutions into platforms for majoritarian narratives. The criticism particularly pointed at Jamia Millia, known for its rich traditions and strong historical values, now caught in a wave of controversy.
The Pakistani official urged the international community to take notice of these developments, stressing that India should honor its commitments to curb hate speech and protect minority rights, especially those of Indian Muslims.
