The self-enumeration phase for India's Census 2027 has begun in Rajasthan, enabling residents to submit their household details online, according to officials.
The exercise, launched by Governor Haribhau Bagde, aims to gather accurate data essential for national growth and will initially run from May 1 to May 15, 2026.
Census officials, including Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, underscored the initiative's role in realizing a digital and developed India by 2047, encouraging widespread public participation.
