Maharashtra's Beed district police have successfully closed a lingering burglary case dating back three months. A breakthrough came after the arrest of 38-year-old Yash Chavan on Wednesday, officials disclosed.
Chavan was apprehended following a tip-off, shedding light on the crime that unfolded on January 24 in Shirur Kasar tehsil, specifically in the Hatkarwadi area. He had allegedly broken into a residence, fleeing with valuable gold and silver ornaments, alongside cash.
The diligent efforts of the local crime branch culminated in the recovery of stolen jewellery valued at Rs 16,000. Law enforcement officials remain vigilant in maintaining security and bringing offenders to justice.
