Karnataka Makes History with 25 Lakh Properties Under e-Khata
Karnataka's Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar announced that over 25 lakh properties in Bengaluru are now registered under the e-Khata system, enhancing transparency and precision. The initiative integrates Aadhaar details and digital documentation to create a comprehensive property database. Additional centers will assist citizens with the process.

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar announced a historic achievement as the state government successfully brought over 25 lakh properties under the e-Khata system in Bengaluru. The initiative promises improved transparency, accuracy, and comprehensive coverage for property owners.
The e-Khata is an electronic property certificate that maintains ownership information within an online database. Shivakumar, who is also the Bengaluru in-charge Minister, highlighted the processing of over 7,000 applications and additional outreach planning for pending applications.
The government is integrating Aadhaar details, digital documentation, GPS mapping, and property sketches to create a robust database. Over 50 centers are being set up across Bengaluru to facilitate access to the e-Khata system. The initiative, recognized by the Union government as a national model, aims to benefit 10 lakh additional households.
