A legal case has been initiated against an undertrial inmate in Maharashtra's Thane district for allegedly causing a commotion and damaging public property, local authorities reported on Saturday. The FIR was filed by Khadakpada police following events at the Kalyan prison earlier this week.
The accused, identified as Ravindra Dhanaji Bhosale, allegedly raised a ruckus during an altercation with jail staff. While being taken out of his cell for his routine, he reportedly threatened personnel and caused damage by breaking two glass window panes.
In response to these actions, Bhosale has been charged under numerous statutes, including the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act, and the Criminal Law Amendment Act, as affirmed by officials.
