Arrest Made in Gujarat for Promoting Extremist Ideology on Social Media

A 32-year-old man from Kutch, Gujarat, Fakirmamad Gagda, has been arrested for promoting ISIS ideology on social media through videos and posts. His multiple accounts on platforms like Instagram and Facebook were discovered, prompting legal action under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for threatening India's sovereignty.

In a swift move, police in Gujarat's Kutch district have apprehended a 32-year-old man accused of promoting extremist ISIS ideology via social media platforms, officials stated on Saturday.

The suspect, Fakirmamad Gagda of Bhuj, was detained on Friday following investigations that revealed his active dissemination of materials supporting a particular ideology.

Authorities discovered multiple social media profiles created by Gagda, allegedly used to spread posts advocating Islamic warfare, posing significant threats to national unity, West Kutch-Bhuj Special Operations Group disclosed.
