Tragedy Strikes as Bridge Collapse Claims Lives in Jammu
A bridge collapse in Bantalab, near Jammu city, resulted in the tragic deaths of three workers. Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah have expressed their condolences. On Saturday, Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah expressed deep sorrow over the tragic deaths of three workers due to a bridge collapse near Jammu city.
Rescue operations lasted 12 hours, resulting in the recovery of three bodies and rescue of two injured individuals from the collapsed bridge at Bantalab area. Officials expressed their condolences to the affected families.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause, with two engineers suspended in the meantime. Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary ordered a probe into potential negligence.
