In a significant step toward strengthening grassroots governance and advancing the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, the Ministry of Panchayati Raj organised a high-impact Outreach Workshop on the Atmanirbhar Panchayat Programme at the National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRD&PR), Hyderabad on May 2, 2026.
Held in collaboration with the Government of Telangana, the workshop brought together over 400 participants, including senior officials, financial institutions, and Panchayat representatives—among them 70 high-performing Sarpanches recognised for excellence in Own Source Revenue (OSR) generation.
