Major Narcotics Bust in Bihar with Rs One Crore 'Smack'

Four individuals, aged 19-27, were arrested in Araria district, Bihar, with Rs one crore worth of heroin. The accused, hailing from West Bengal's Malda district, were intercepted in Town police station area. The 'smack' was intended for local distribution with connections revealed during interrogation.

In a significant crackdown on narcotics, police in Araria district, Bihar, have apprehended four individuals in possession of heroin valued at Rs one crore. The operation, led by Superintendent of Police Jitendra Kumar, resulted in the capture of suspects in the Town police station area.

The suspects - Mohd Umair, Mohd Sheikh, Mohd Sabirul, and Mohd Saqibul - are all from the Malda district of West Bengal. According to police, they planned to distribute the contraband locally.

Further investigation revealed the heroin, colloquially referred to as 'smack', was set for delivery to an associate of a recently arrested local drug peddler. This highlights the extensive network of narcotics distribution operating across state lines.
