Tragic Naming Ceremony: Child Fatally Shot After Refusing Water Request
A nine-year-old boy was tragically shot and killed during a naming ceremony in Uttar Pradesh after refusing to fetch water for a man mixing alcohol. The accused, in an inebriated state, shot the child in the stomach, causing panic. The suspect was later arrested with the seized firearm.

In a tragic incident in Kasganj district, Uttar Pradesh, a nine-year-old boy was shot dead during a naming ceremony after refusing a request to fetch water for a guest consuming alcohol. The shocking event unfolded in Yakutganj village amidst a gathering of family and villagers.
The accused, identified as Dhanesh Yadav, allegedly asked the boy, Yashpal, to bring water while he was drinking. When the child refused, Yadav, reportedly intoxicated, shot him in the stomach, causing chaos at the event. The injured boy was rushed to the district hospital and later to Aligarh, but sadly succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
Police have apprehended Yadav near the Khitauli canal bridge and seized the firearm used in the crime. Authorities have registered a case based on the family's complaint, and the investigation is ongoing from all angles, according to Additional Superintendent of Police, Rajesh Kumar Bharti.
