Record-Breaking Voter Turnout in Tamil Nadu Elections
With an impressive voter turnout of 85.10%, Tamil Nadu saw 4.8 crore voters participate in the April 23 Assembly elections. The Karur constituency reported the highest turnout while the lowest was in Killiyoor. Vote counting is scheduled for May 4 across 62 centers in the state.

In an unprecedented display of democratic participation, Tamil Nadu's Assembly elections on April 23 witnessed an 85.10 percent voter turnout, with 4.8 crore electorates casting their votes.
The Election Commission (EC) revealed in a late-night statement that female voters numbered 2.52 crores and male voters totaled 2.35 crores, with an additional 4,517 transgender voters.
The Karur constituency led with a remarkable 93.41 percent turnout, whereas Killiyoor in Kanyakumari saw the lowest at 71.26 percent. Votes will be counted on May 4 at 62 centers statewide.
