Crackdown on Hashish Oil Manufacturing: Odisha Police Seize Chemical-Laden Vehicle
Odisha Police seized a vehicle loaded with around 800 litres of chemicals and solvents used for making hashish oil in Malkangiri district. Additional seizures included 50 kg of marijuana and hashish oil. The smugglers had planned to set up a manufacturing unit in ChitraKonda but opted for a mobile processing unit to avoid detection.

In a major crackdown on narcotics, Odisha Police officials intercepted a vehicle near Essar Chakk in Malkangiri district on Sunday, seizing around 800 litres of chemicals and solvents intended for producing hashish oil.
Upon inspection, authorities also discovered 50 kg of marijuana and litres of hashish oil. The operation's mastermind manipulated the vehicle's registration to avoid detection and operated a processing unit directly inside it, police sources revealed.
Malkangiri Superintendent of Police, Vinodh Patil H, stated that teams have been deployed to capture the driver and bring all involved parties to justice. The incident highlights persistent efforts to curtail illegal narcotics activities in the region.
