Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attributed the state's past 'BIMARU' status to rampant corruption in previous governments. Speaking at an event in Lucknow, he emphasized that discrimination in recruitment forced judicial intervention.
Addressing improvements, Adityanath detailed new measures ensuring transparency in current recruitment process, including strict adherence to court directives and updated regulations. The government has successfully recruited over 220,000 police personnel and aims to fill thousands more posts in various sectors.
Highlighting advancements, he mentioned the establishment of medical colleges and other educational institutes, along with improved drug testing facilities. Adityanath asserted that stringent laws now penalize malpractice in recruitment, aiming for a corrpution-free administration.
