Security Alert: Bomb Threat Sparks Action at Mayor's Office

A bomb threat was received at the Mayor's Office of the MCD, leading to a police inspection. No bomb was found, and security protocols were reviewed. This marks the second threat since April, with authorities demanding a thorough investigation to ensure better security measures in the future.

A bomb threat received at the Mayor’s Office of the MCD on Monday morning led to an immediate response from Delhi police, officials reported. The threat, sent via an anonymous email stating a bomb explosion at 3:11 pm, was received around 9:20 am.

Upon notification, the police conducted a comprehensive inspection of the office premises. Officials confirmed no incidents occurred, though all sensitive areas were thoroughly checked as a precaution. This is the second such incident since April 1, raising alarms once more.

In response, the Mayor's Office has reached out to the Delhi Police Commissioner, urging a full investigation and stringent measures. Authorities emphasized the urgency, citing previous similar threats to the Delhi Legislative Assembly.
