A court in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, has taken action regarding the recent cruise boat accident at Bargi Dam reservoir, which led to the death of 13 people.
Judicial Magistrate First Class, D P Sutrakar, cited negligence on the part of the boat's crew as the cause of these tragic losses, classifying it as attempted culpable homicide.
The court issued a directive for the Bargi police station to register an FIR within two days. It further highlighted the necessity of this step to prevent future incidents of negligence and ensure accountability in waterborne transport operations.
