Elderly Man Arrested for Heinous Crime in Bhopal

An elderly man has been arrested in Bhopal for allegedly raping a five-year-old girl. The incident took place on May 3 at the residence of the 75-year-old lawyer when the victim came to play with his granddaughter, according to officials.

The victim complained of pain to her mother, who discovered bruises on her and took her to a doctor. The doctor suspected sexual assault, prompting the victim’s mother to report the matter to the police.

Under police interrogation, the accused initially attempted to mislead authorities but later confessed to molesting the child. He has since been charged under the POCSO Act and remanded in custody by a local court.
