The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Rajasthan has arrested former minister Mahesh Joshi at his Jaipur residence on Thursday. This development is part of the ongoing investigation into the alleged Rs 960-crore Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) scam.

Allegations against Joshi, who served as the PHED minister during the former Congress regime, include taking bribes in exchange for tenders, misusing his position, and collaborating with various officials and contractors to defraud the system. His arrest follows that of retired IAS officer Subodh Agarwal a month prior.

According to officials, tenders worth approximately Rs 960 crore were secured through fake completion certificates. More than 11 individuals, including several engineers and contractors, are implicated in the case. The ACB's Special Investigation Team (SIT) is actively pursuing other missing suspects and building a robust case against those involved.
