Three individuals have been arrested for allegedly smuggling drugs across state lines, with a significant cache of narcotic tablets seized near the India-Nepal border, according to officials.

The operation, a collaborative effort by Maharajganj police and the Sashastra Seema Bal, occurred late Wednesday following a tip-off near the Shyamdeurwa police station.

Following preliminary questioning, it was revealed the accused had been masking their activities using their professional credentials as former medical representatives, authorities announced.
