Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday hailed the valour of the armed forces on the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor and for emphatically responding to the Pahalgam terror attack. Sandhu on X said, ''We mark the 1st anniversary of #OperationSindoor - a defining moment in Bharat's strategic resolve and national determination.'' He paid tributes to the ''immortal valour'' of the armed forces for responding to the Pahalgam attack with ''exemplary courage, precision, and unwavering commitment'' to the nation. ''India remains vigilant, united, and steadfast against every threat to its sovereignty and security. A grateful nation salutes the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering devotion of our bravehearts,'' he said. Marking the occasion, Gupta changed her display picture on X, dedicating it to Operation Sindoor. She said, ''The day Bharat's Armed Forces answered terror with unmatched strength.'' ''Countless salutations to the indomitable courage, valour, and gallantry of the Indian Army on the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor,'' Gupta said in another post on X. The military operation was carried out by the three defence forces, along with the BSF, targeting terrorist and military facilities in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir from May 7-10 last year. The terror attack in Pahalgam took place on April 22, 2025, in which 26 people, mostly tourists, were killed.
