General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the White Knight Corps, Lieutenant General P K Mishra, on Thursday visited forward areas along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch and reviewed the prevailing security situation and operational preparedness of troops, officials said. Lt Gen Mishra, accompanied by the GOC of the Ace of Spades Division, visited areas under the Krishna Ghati Brigade to assess the security environment, infrastructure development and readiness of troops deployed along the border, they said. In a post on X, the White Knight Corps said the Army commander was briefed on operational deployment, surveillance architecture and measures put in place to maintain a ''robust counter-infiltration grid'' along the LoC. ''GOC White Knight Corps alongwith GOC Ace Of Spades Division, visited forward areas along the Line of Control to review the prevailing security situation, infrastructure development and operational preparedness of formations under Krishna Ghati Brigade,'' the post said. The Corps said troops deployed along the LoC continue to maintain ''unwavering vigilance, effective domination and psychological ascendancy'' over the adversary through professionalism, combat readiness and high morale. The visit comes amid heightened focus on border security and counter-infiltration measures along the LoC in the Jammu region.
