Mob Gathers Against Cattle Transport: Nine Arrested for Assault in Kothapet

In a startling incident at Kothapet crossroad, nine individuals were taken into custody for allegedly assaulting cattle transporters and police officers. The arrests followed the group's unlawful interception of a vehicle transporting oxen meant for a film shoot at Purani Haveli.
The mob, acting under suspicion that the animals were being led to slaughter, halted and harassed the vehicle's occupants. As police officers arrived to control the situation, the assailants proceeded to attack the officers and damage their vehicle, causing severe injuries to personnel, including an Inspector.
Authorities have registered a case against those involved, while police reiterated their warning against taking law into individual hands. The public is urged to provide reliable intel on cattle movement, with assurances of firm action against unlawful acts disturbing public peace.
