Tragedy in Pakur: Son Allegedly Kills Father in Alcohol-Fueled Rage

A 40-year-old man has been accused of fatally attacking his father in a violent altercation while both were consuming alcohol in Jharkhand's Pakur district, police stated on Wednesday.
The incident allegedly occurred on Tuesday night at their residence in Kittajhor, located in the Town police station jurisdiction. Diwakar Sardar, the accused, reportedly struck his father, Anup Sardar, aged 65, with a sickle in a fit of rage, leading to the elder Sardar's immediate death due to significant bleeding, according to officer-in-charge Anil Gupta.
The incident came to light after Diwakar's daughter, Varsha Sardar, lodged a police complaint on Wednesday. The police have since arrested Diwakar, who has confessed to the crime, and the weapon has been recovered. The deceased leaves behind three children. Varsha has accused her father of recurrent domestic violence, including an attempted murder of her mother.
