Former MLA Vijay Mishra Sentenced in 46-Year-Old Murder Case

A special MP-MLA court sentenced former legislator Vijay Mishra and three others to life imprisonment for a 46-year-old murder. They were also sentenced to an additional 10 years for attempted murder. The case dates back to 1980, involving the murder of Prakash Narayan Pandey.

In a significant judicial decision, a special MP-MLA court in Prayagraj sentenced former lawmaker Vijay Mishra and three accomplices to life imprisonment for their involvement in a decades-old murder case.

The court found Mishra, along with Sant Ram Mishra, Balram Mishra, and Jeet Narayan, guilty under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code, resulting in a fine of Rs 1 lakh against each.

This case, originating in 1980, centers on the murder of Prakash Narayan Pandey, who was shot while seeking bail. Mishra, previously elected from Gyanpur, faces numerous other criminal charges.
