A senior South Korean official has indicated that the possibility of any entity other than Iran being responsible for an attack on a South Korean cargo vessel near the Strait of Hormuz is low, as reported by the Yonhap news agency.

The incident, which led to a fire on the HMM-owned Namu vessel last May, is under scrutiny with intelligence analyses provided by the U.S. South Korea's foreign ministry official stressed the investigation would precede further diplomatic moves.
