Arunachal Pradesh's Cabinet, under the leadership of Chief Minister Pema Khandu, has enacted a series of pivotal policy changes. These include stringent anti-paper leak rules for recruitment exams and revised Inner Line Permit (ILP) regulations, aimed at bolstering the administrative framework.
Responding to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call, the cabinet introduced austerity measures such as restricting foreign travel for officials, cutting VIP convoy sizes, and promoting digital-first meetings. Emphasis on organic farming and local buying was also highlighted.
The cabinet's decision-making extended to urban development with new tenancy laws and proposed sustainable urban planning near airport zones, underscoring their focus on strategic growth and development.
