NIA Exposes 'Jihadi Conspiracy' with 7,500-Page Chargesheet

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a 7,500-page chargesheet against 10 individuals accused of orchestrating a 'jihadi conspiracy' linked to Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind, an Al-Qaeda offshoot. The accused allegedly plotted to overthrow the Indian government, leading to a deadly car explosion near the Red Fort.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) unveiled a detailed 7,500-page chargesheet on Thursday against ten individuals accused of participating in a 'jihadi conspiracy' led by Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind, an Al-Qaeda offshoot. The chargesheet addresses the car explosion near the Red Fort, which claimed over a dozen lives.

The document reveals that the accused, who aimed to overthrow the Indian government, have been charged under various acts, including the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. The Srinagar police initially disrupted the terror module—dubbed as 'doctor' or 'white-collar' due to the involvement of medical professionals—following an intensive investigation.

The NIA statement elaborated on the meticulous investigation, highlighting finds of illegal arms and experimental explosive devices intended for widespread attacks. Evidence was compiled from Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana, and several other states to substantiate the alleged conspiracy.
