An Indian national, Shivam, aged 22, has admitted to orchestrating a cross-border smuggling operation designed to bring individuals illegally from Canada into the United States.

According to the US Justice Department, Shivam coordinated these operations from October 2024 through June 2025, enabling illegal entry through the northern border in New York.

His logistics involved directing drivers to transport the smuggled individuals to stash houses and hotels in Northern New York. The case, linked to financial gains through smuggling, leads Shivam to face substantial legal repercussions, with a sentencing hearing set for September.
