Leader of 'Punjabi Devils' Sentenced: A Tale of Guns and Grenades

Jashanpreet Singh, leader of the 'Punjabi Devils' motorcycle gang, was sentenced to over five years in prison for illegal firearm dealings, including possession of machine guns and explosives. Attempting to flee to India, Singh was arrested in San Francisco. His gang, linked to Hells Angels, was involved in serious criminal activities.

Jashanpreet Singh, founder of the notorious 'Punjabi Devils' motorcycle gang, has been sentenced to more than five years in prison after being found guilty of illegal firearm dealings. Singh, a 27-year-old of Indian descent residing in Lodi, California, faced charges that included unlawfully trading firearms and holding a machine gun in his possession.

Following an extensive investigation, US District Judge Dale Drozd sentenced Singh to five years and four months in prison, as announced by US Attorney Eric Grant. Singh's arrest followed a failed attempt to sell multiple weapons, including machine gun conversion kits and a revolver, to an undercover agent.

Law enforcement's search of Singh's residence uncovered additional firearms and explosives, including a grenade and items suspected to be a military-grade mine, which were safely disposed of. Attempting to escape to India, Singh was intercepted at San Francisco International Airport in July 2025 and remains in federal custody.
