Tamil Nadu Governor R Viswanath Arlekar has taken a notable step in reducing his official convoy. Following instructions from the Governor himself, the fleet has been trimmed from ten police security vehicles to just four.
This decision is in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's broader initiative, urging citizens to limit their petrol and diesel consumption.
PM Modi has suggested switching to public transport, electric buses, and car pooling as viable measures to achieve this national target.
