Jharkhand Embarks on 2027 Census: Massive Data Collection Initiative Underway

Jharkhand has begun the first phase of Census 2027 with extensive household data collection. The exercise involves over 76,000 personnel, covering 24 districts. It includes a preliminary self-enumeration. The ongoing field visits aim to gather detailed information about housing and living standards, setting the stage for comprehensive demographic insights.

Field visits for data collection under the initial phase of Census 2027 launched in Jharkhand, officials confirmed. This comprehensive exercise, spanning until June 14, sees skilled enumerators conducting house-to-house surveys.

The massive census operation covers 24 districts and over 32,000 villages, involving about 76,000 personnel. These include enumerators, field trainers, and supervisors who will first map the designated areas before starting the field enumeration.

The questionnaire focuses on diverse aspects like housing conditions and family particulars. Prior to this, a digital self-enumeration was conducted. The second phase slated for early next year is set for further comprehensive population surveys.
