In a decisive statement, TVK Madurai Central MLA Madhar Badhurudeen announced that Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay has empowered the police to take strong measures against all forms of illegal activities, including unauthorized bars and the sale of banned Gutkha products.
After assessing the civic infrastructure near the renowned Meenakshi Amman Temple, Badhurudeen urged officials to enhance civic amenities, focusing on garbage clearance, street lighting, and the drainage system.
Highlighting the urgency, Badhurudeen emphasized that the drainage issues due to seepage need immediate attention, particularly given the temple's significance and high pilgrim footfall.
