Underworld Unraveled: Arrests Made in Panjab University Shooting Plot

Four individuals were apprehended in connection with a shooting attempt at Panjab University, orchestrated by foreign-based gangsters. Police recovered weapons and uncovered ties to criminal activities involving transnational target killings. The suspects were allegedly paid via encrypted channels by gangsters Shaganpreet Singh and Doni Bal.

In a significant breakthrough, police have arrested four individuals linked to a shooting incident on the Panjab University campus, which transpired under the directives of foreign-based gangsters, as revealed in a press briefing by Chandigarh Senior Superintendent of Police Kanwardeep Kaur.

The arrested suspects, identified as Gaurav, Rajat, Aryan from Amritsar, and Ravi Nijjar from Sirsa, were apprehended following a tip-off. Police seized three automatic pistols and 13 cartridges from them.

Investigations unveiled that the accused were in communication with foreign gangsters Doni Bal and Shaganpreet Singh, engaging in organised crime. Authorities are probing financial transactions conducted through QR codes alongside plans to execute violent crimes in Punjab and Chandigarh.
