In a significant ruling, a court has sentenced four men to life imprisonment for the murder of Jogendra in 2018. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 1.10 lakh on each of the accused individuals, a prosecution official announced on Saturday.
The case revolves around a previous grudge related to a motorcycle accident that resulted in a fractured leg for the son of one of the accused, Praveen. The accused men, including Kulveer, Chhote, and Lala alias Satendra, allegedly lured Jogendra on false pretenses before killing him.
After Jogendra went missing, his body was discovered hanging from a neem tree. A case was subsequently filed at Anupshahr police station on July 29, 2018. The verdict was delivered by Additional Sessions Judge Rajesh Kumar-III, who found the accused guilty and served the life sentences.
