Teacher Arrested in Budaun for Alleged Student Molestation

A government school teacher in Uttar Pradesh's Budaun district has been apprehended on charges of molesting a Class 8 student, as confirmed by police on Sunday.

The incident emerged after the girl's father filed a written complaint at the Ushait police station, detailing the student's ordeal upon returning home on Saturday. Police promptly registered an FIR under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the POCSO Act.

Though the teacher has denied the molestation claims, citing a disciplinary slap as the source of the dispute, law enforcement has nevertheless proceeded with his arrest as investigations continue.
