Corruption Crackdown: Rajasthan Officer Nabbed in Bribery Case
An assistant sub-inspector of Rajasthan Police, Sunil Vishnoi, was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in a bribery case. Vishnoi allegedly demanded Rs 3 lakh to drop a molestation case, ultimately settling for Rs 1.30 lakh. ACB apprehended him while accepting Rs 1 lakh in a sting operation.

An assistant sub-inspector of the Rajasthan Police was apprehended by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on allegations of bribery in Udaipur. The officer, identified as Sunil Vishnoi, was caught red-handed during an undercover operation orchestrated by ACB's Udaipur unit.
Vishnoi, stationed at Pratapnagar police station, was implicated alongside two constables after allegedly agreeing to accept a total of Rs 1.30 lakh to avoid filing a molestation and rape case. Initial demands were set at Rs 3 lakh, according to ACB Director General Govind Gupta.
The arrest occurred at a resort parking area as Vishnoi was receiving the final installment of Rs 1 lakh. ACB officials continue to investigate, including searches at the officer's residence, to unveil any further evidence related to the case.
