At Central Stadium, Chief Minister V D Satheesan, accompanied by 20 ministers, was sworn into office by Kerala Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, marking a pivotal moment for the UDF government.
In a notable departure from tradition, RSP leader Shibu Baby John and CMP leader C P John chose to solemnly affirm their oaths, contrasting with others who invoked God. This reflects the diverse ideological undercurrents within the coalition government.
While most ministers took their oaths in Malayalam, senior Congress leader K Muraleedharan stood out by taking his in English. The ceremony, which ran from 10 am to 11:30 am, underscores the UDF's significant victory, securing 102 of the 140 seats in the Kerala Assembly.
