The Punjab Police have apprehended a suspect associated with a significant firearms and narcotics trafficking ring. The individual in question, Khush Kumar, also known as Bholu, was found in possession of seven advanced pistols and 2.1 kg of heroin.

Police Director General, Gaurav Yadav, reported that Kumar has a criminal background encompassing drug trade, violation of the Arms Act, and snatching offenses. The assortment of recovered firearms includes a Turkish-made 9mm Gladiator, an Italian 9mm Zigana X-SHOT, and other pistols produced in Austria and China.

The investigation uncovered Kumar's ties to an international smuggler using virtual numbers, with deliveries executed via drones across the border. The arrest, part of a strategic operation led by Amritsar's Police Commissioner, Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, aims to dismantle the illegal network and capture additional associates. A formal case against Kumar has been filed in Amritsar.
