Satish Upadhyay, a prominent figure in Delhi politics and former president of the BJP Delhi unit, has been named the vice-chairman of the Delhi Jal Board. This decision concludes the year-long vacancy in this pivotal role since the BJP came to power.
The announcement was made on Monday, as two other BJP MLAs, Manoj Kumar Shokeen and Ajay Mahawar, were also inducted as board members. Speaker Vijender Gupta expressed confidence in their ability to enhance the Board's functioning and public responsiveness, owing to their public service experience and institutional expertise.
The move is expected to invigorate the Board's operations with Upadhyay's seasoned leadership, alongside the strategic contributions of Shokeen and Mahawar from their respective constituencies in Delhi.
