An MSEDCL technician has been arrested for bribery following a successful sting operation by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB). Krishna Ashruba Palavde allegedly accepted Rs 1,000 from a farmer at the Telgaon Sub-Division.
The bribe was related to a survey for a solar agricultural pump scheme. The farmer reported the demand for money, prompting the ACB to lay a trap.
Palavde has now been charged under the Prevention of Corruption Act, highlighting ongoing efforts to combat corruption within public sector utilities.
