J'khand: Elaborate arrangements in place ahead of Bakrid in East Singhbhum

The Jharkhand East Singhbhum district administration has made elaborate arrangements for Eid-ul-Azha, including intensified vigil and adequate drinking water supply, to maintain law and order during the festivities.

Elaborate arrangements have been put in place by Jharkhand's East Singhbhum district administration ahead of Eid-ul-Azha (Bakrid), with intensified vigil in sensitive areas and provision for adequate supply of drinking water during the festivities, officials said.

District administration officials on Friday held a meeting in this regard at Town Hall here, they said.

''The participants deliberated on law and order, sanitation, availability of drinking water, electricity, road traffic and basic amenities,'' an official statement said.

Superintendent of Police (City) Lalit Meena said adequate force will be deployed in the district to maintain law and order during Eid-ul-Azha.

Police will keep strict vigil in all sensitive joints, and strict action will be taken against mischievous elements spreading misleading and false information, he said.

The administration urged people to maintain communal harmony and immediately report any suspicious activity or rumour-mongering.

''Refrain from posting/sharing any unauthentic posts and consult the administration rather than relying on rumours,'' the statement said.
