Russia says it will launch strikes on defence targets in Kyiv

Russia's ​foreign ​ministry said ‌on Monday it ​would launch a "series ‌of systematic strikes" against Ukrainian defence industrial facilities in the ‌capital Kyiv and warned foreign ‌citizens to leave the city.

In a statement, it ⁠said ​the ⁠strikes were a response to ⁠what it says was a ​deliberate drone attack by ⁠Ukraine on a student dorm ⁠on ​Friday. Ukraine's military has denied responsibility, saying it ⁠had struck an elite ⁠drone ⁠command unit.
