Two young girls from Jharkhand drowned in a pond. Police suspect they entered the water to cool off from the heat. Their bodies were found by villagers the next morning and retrieved by authorities.

In a tragic incident in Jharkhand's Garwah district, two young girls lost their lives after drowning in a pond. Authorities believe the girls were trying to cool off from the intense heat.

According to Bansidhar Nagar police official Upendra Kumar, Priyanshu Kumari, aged 8, and 10-year-old Reshma Kumari left their homes on Tuesday morning and didn't return by nightfall. The following morning, residents of Kumba village discovered their bodies in the pond and alerted authorities. Police suspect the girls entered the water for a bath due to the sweltering temperatures. The bodies have been sent for autopsy, and investigations continue.
