Authorities have apprehended four individuals connected to a violent assault on vehicles transporting Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials during a raid on former Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's rented accommodation in Kerala.
The arrests followed hours of tension between police and CPI(M) members outside a party office in Palayam. Prominent figures like V Sivankutty and Kadamkampally Surendran obstructed police access, denying the presence of the accused inside. Eventually, some suspects emerged from the office and were detained. The ED investigation targets alleged illicit payments linked to Vijayan's daughter, Veena, and a defunct IT firm, tied to the CMRL money laundering case.
