The Madhya Pradesh High Court has nullified the anticipatory bail previously granted to Giribala Singh, a former judge, in the case concerning the death of Twisha Sharma. The decision was made by vacation judge Devnarayan Mishra, who highlighted the serious allegations under the relevant sections of law.
Singh's bail was initially granted by the 10th Additional Sessions Judge in Bhopal. However, the high court's ruling affirmed that justice required this bail to be quashed, aligning with the demands for a thorough investigation into the dowry-related accusations.
Senior advocate Anurag Shrivastava, representing Twisha's family, expressed satisfaction with the court's decision, suggesting that Singh should now cooperate fully with the ongoing CBI investigation as a sign of respect for the law.
Meanwhile, authorities have taken Twisha's husband, Samarth Singh, into CBI custody. The CBI has intensified its probe, visiting Giribala Singh’s residence for further evidence gathering.
