A Delhi court has ruled against granting anticipatory bail to Balkishan Goswami, who faces charges relating to the theft of gold rings in Connaught Place. He is accused of playing a lookout role as his accomplices executed the theft.
According to the prosecution, the incident occurred when the accused engaged Prabhat Kumar Ruhela in conversation before disappearing with his rings. The court emphasized the necessity of Goswami's custodial interrogation given his alleged involvement and the serious nature of the crime, noting that he and his co-accused fled the scene in an auto rickshaw and later sold the jewelry in Sadar Bazar.
